Then on the 13th we watched my brother Nathan while my family went to an extended family gathering up at the girls camp in Heber. Someone else took over with Nathan for us the next day, and we joined everyone else. We went out on a canoe on the little lake in the morning, and spent the afternoon hiking an overgrown trail. From the looks of it, the trail was not used often or maintained very well, but it was quite picturesque:
The following day for Father's Day we drove up to Logan first thing early in the morning to visit Nate's sister, who had just had a baby, and his family who were visiting from California. Then we stopped by Salt Lake City on the way back to eat dinner with and visit my extended family.
Then the next week, we had Nate's family over for dinner Wednesday night, following which we drove to Moab. We camped for the night and set out on a white water rafting trip along the Colorado river the next morning. (It looked a lot like the picture to the right, even though that is not us.)Camping was so much fun we decided to do it again Friday night with some people in our ward. We stayed at the Whiting camp ground up Maple Canyon in Payson. Then Saturday evening we went to a ward Dutch oven cookout for more great outdoor-style dinning. YUM!
Above is a picture of Stewart Falls. Below is a smaller fall that we arrived at by following a trail on up to it on the other side of the river.
