Spring & Easter Happenings

Spring is always a beautiful and busy time of year for us. It means frequently mowing our fast growing lawn, lots of weeding, and lots of other yard work. This year it has also meant new chicks. This year we got a light brahma, black australorp, Easter egger, and black black sex link.

A week ago Saturday we also got to stop by the Tulip Festival. Unfortunately, we ended up with pretty limited time there. However, we really enjoyed what we were able to do and see.

Spring is also a time of birthdays in our family. This year Nate's aunt had a fun hippie themed 60th birthday party, so we ran to that after leaving the festival.

And of course, we always enjoy the Easter celebrations each spring. This year the week before Easter we met up with some of our good friends for lunch. Then Easter Eggs were hidden while the kids played at the playground.

And then we had the Easter Egg hunt.

After that, Austin stuffed himself with Easter candy.

As always, it was fun to be with our friends and we all had a good time.

Easter Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day, so we took a couple pictures outside. We also were able to have lots of family over for dinner that evening, which once again was fun and busy.
