We enjoyed the colors along the Alpine Loop so much a week ago Sunday that we decided we needed to get out and enjoy the fall colors more before they were gone. So Saturday afternoon we all (except Moglie) set out on a hike to Malan's Peak. The colors were definitely beautiful, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We didn't have too much time since Women's Conference was that weekend. Still, we hoped to make it to the top. We almost turned around before we got there though, since we didn't know how much further we needed to go and we were running out of time. Luckily, we meet another hiker coming down who told us we were almost there.
It is getting harder to have Austin on these hikes. He kept pulling my hair while I had him. Austin is also getting heavier, and it was a fairly steep trail with a 2000 foot elevation gain.We were feeling tired by the time we got to the top. But it was definitely worth it. The surrounding views were beautiful!
