What Ice-cream flavor are you?

We saw this on Jenny and Marcus's blog and it turned out to be pretty accurate. Try it out and tell us what flavor you are.

Nate:
You're as impulsive and impatient as a kid who can't wait for the cookies to come out of the oven. You treat life like a nonstop slumber party, and you like to keep things simple and silly. You scream at horror movies and laugh your butt off at comedies, but you probably can't sit still for a long, boring drama. To some people, you come across as immature, but so what? Your playful personality means you'll stay forever young.

Rebecca:
You're as popular and relaxing as vanilla ice cream. You go with the flow, and get along with all sorts of people. You appreciate peace and simplicity, so you sometimes find crowds and loud noises overwhelming. You are a chilled-out, calming influence on the people in your life, and your friends appreciate how supportive and flexible you are.

BFA Show

Sorry I'm not posting any actual paintings at the moment, but I thought I should go ahead and write something about my BFA show all the same. After all, it will be up next week! It is titled, "The Faces of Nature," and it consists of seven total paintings that have been completed within the last year. It will be on display at BYU in the HFAC on the west wing of the fourth floor from October 16-31 with an opening reception on the 17th from 7-9.

Other than that, Nate and I are as busy as ever. Our lives have been complicated by the fact I have now been quite sick for over a week. The doctor diagnosed me today with mono and left me unsure of how much longer I will have to spend my time here at home trying to recover. Nate has been amazing in helping me with so much that I just don't have energy to do. This has included helping put together my show. I don't think it would be happening without him.

Costco Shopping Spree

This month was a record sales month for the Alpha Graphics office where Rebecca works, so her boss took the whole office to Costco for a shopping spree. We got $300 to buy whatever we wanted (except a cash card). Here's the booty:
  • a 6.5 lb bag of frozen chicken breasts
  • a 3-pack of motorola Talkabout T8510R FRS/GMRS 2-way radios (18 mile optimum range, + earbuds, battery chargers,
  • a 6-pack of canned chicken breast
  • a 3-pack of canned pumpkin
  • 5 lbs of mild italian sausage links
  • a variety pack of power bars (24 ct)
  • a variety pack of 2.5 oz Kellog's fruity fruit snacks (36 ct)
  • a 4 lb can of Stephen's Hot Chocolate mix
  • a 6-pack of sweetened condensed milk
  • a 30 oz bag of dried mangos
  • a bag of pecans
  • a variety pack of Milano cookies (3 packages)
  • Harry Potter 7 on CD
  • an undisclosed Christmas gift
When we rang it all up, we still had extra so her boss added a whole combo pizza to go.
It's too bad Rebecca hasn't been there the 90 days needed to be considered a full-status full-time employee or we would have gotten $500! There were two couples who both work at the office, so they got to spend $1000!
