Grandma Scott's 90th Birthday and Such

My Grandma's 90th Birthday party was on July 2nd in Orem.  We came down the night before and had a BBQ with my BYU roommates Tom, Andy and Brian.  It was really fun to see them again and let them meet Austin.  I'm glad we've been able to stay in touch and hang out every now and again.

The birthday party was a big hit. They had a huge display about each decade of her life.  It displayed a short biography of her 8 children and there was also a list of when each of her 60 grandchildren and 46 great grand children were born, married, or called on missions.

While we were in Utah County we obviously had to go hiking as well.  We kept it pretty simple and went to Stewart Falls. There was a lot of snow at the foot of the waterfall.  It built up pretty tall walls on either side of the river, and a family we met up there said there had been a 20 foot wide bridge between the two sides the day before.  Zipper especially loved the snow.  Some kids played with her for quite a while by kicking up snow for her to jump at.  Austin also did really well for his first hike.  He slept most of the way up, but on the way down he was very attentive and curious about everything he saw around him.  It was fun to watch him.

These pictures are of Austin at 2 months.  He's smiling a lot now and is super interested in his mobile, his toy keys, and other random things around him (like the lamp we have clipped to his crib).
