After lunch Friday Nate and I left Austin with willing family members and hiked up the Devil's Den Legacy Trail, which was made to honor firefigher Spencer Koyle, who died while fighting a wildfire in the area. The trail has informative plaques along the trail explaining various aspects of wildfires and fighting them. The trail ends with a nice view and sculptures of some firefighter equipment. It felt so nice to be hiking again!
Austin seemed to enjoy his first camp out. There were plenty of people there who were happy to hold him and give him lots of attention.
Zipper also came along on the trip with us. She was a big hit with the kids:
Saturday morning we decided to make our way to the top of a large rock above our campsite:

Unfortunately, our photographer left out the rock we are sitting on in the pictures he took. So,even though you can't tell from the photo, but we are actually sitting on the top of the rock here, high above our campsite. (Some people also took pictures of us from below, but we don't have copies of those pictures yet.)
Then on our way home from the trip, we stopped by to see Nate's Grandma Scott, who hadn't had a chance to meet Austin yet.

Looks like fun! I love climbing rocks (who doesn't???) Going down isn't always as fun.
