Some Memorable Things from the Month of February

Austin likes watching me doing some calligraphy projects sometimes. Meanwhile, he has also been learning cursive because he has decided he is interested in it and wants to learn. Austin seems to have put these two ideas together and decided to teach us, his parents, how to make his own versions of "fancy letters." He has shown me how to draw these on his MagnaDoodle, and he has made his own worksheets for us to practice with.

In addition to the various Valentine's Day related activities, we have also been up to a few other things. For example, we went on a group date with some of my good friends/former roommates from BYU to The Escape Key. We tried out a CIA themed room. We had to find and solve a number of clues in the room in order to "escape" within an hour. We were told we were one of the most successful groups to do the room; we only got a bit stuck in trying to find clues once. We knew what information we needed, but got a bit of help finding it.
 

We were also super excited to finally get a good snow storm last weekend. We didn't have time to drive far to reach the larger hills that we particularly enjoy sledding down, so we went to a smaller one near our house. We all had fun and were grateful for the much needed snow as well as time we had to sled!
