Austin is now over 15 months old, and he has has become a very active little boy lately. He certainly keeps us busy as we try to keep him out of trouble. He still doesn't walk, but he can certainly crawl, climb, and pull up. In short, he gets wherever he wants to go, and he moves quickly too.
He says a few words, like "dog," "all gone," and "duck." He can sign "milk." He loves throwing objects and pounding them against each other and on other things. He likes playing ball. Buttons, such as those on phones, ipods, remotes, and computers, draw him in like magnets. He likes to try turning the computer off on me as I work. He once got a hold of Nate's ipod touch and somehow sent an email to a random company. All it said was "z."
If you want to make funny sounds, like buzzing your lips, he will be happy to join you. If you see him hit his head on something and say "Bonk," he will laugh and purposefully hit his head again.
He is fascinated by animals. He loves Zipper, but she doesn't like to hang around him for long. After all, Austin tends to slap her and poke her in the eye. Luckily, she is very patient with his rough love. We keep Moglie and Austin as separate as possible.
And Austin loves to get dirty. That makes it a bit hard to get work done in the yard, because usually he just wants to play in the dirt when we go outside now.
But he can be contented with other interesting objects temporarily as well.
